The research project A03 is organizing a film screening of the graffiti documentary Tlacuilos followed by a discussion with the director Federico Peixoto.

About the documentary

The critically acclaimed documentary Tlacuilos (2019) explores the history of graffiti in Central America, filmed from 1996 to 2018 in Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and partially in Mexico and the USA. 

The documentary features footage of graffiti artists from the region whose graffiti reflects the social, political, and economic context of their time, shaped by migration, civil wars, and social inequality.

The film will be shown in the original language with English subtitles. The discussion with the director will be held in Spanish and English.
