Klara Beetz is a Master's student of theatre studies and a student assistant at the Collaborative Research Centre 1512 ‘Intervening Arts’ in the sub-project ‘Public Spheres’ at the Free University of Berlin and the anthology project ‘Drag, hier und heute!’ by Prof. Dr. Jenny Schrödl & Samu/elle Striewski, also at the FU Berlin. Klara Beetz completed their Bachelor's degree in German Philology/Philosophy at the Free University of Berlin and Leiden University in the Netherlands. Their academic interests lie in particular at the interface of comedy and laughter theories as well as queer studies. Klara Beetz also works as a freelance production manager and curator in the Netherlands and is part of the newly founded theatre collective KonzeptKombinat for young, queer, (post)East German theatre.
