One year after launching the podcast „Sonic Interventions“, project B05 presents another special Black History Month season, now centering South African perspectives and sounds. Dr. Layla Zami interviewed innovative artists and scholars, based in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. They share thoughts and work samples for the listeners to hear more about the intersection between tradition and contemporary practices in relation to the notion of sonic intervention. The first episode (Feb 1) featured Sky Dladla, next will be Dr. Thokozani Mhlambi (Feb 15) and two more episodes in March. Stay tuned!
